How it works

From box to first receipt in under a minute

Turn the printer on, load paper, and keep it near your phone (or plug in the USB cable).

  1. Scan

    Tap Scan for Printers. Raw Print finds Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy and USB printers around you.

  2. Tap your printer

    Pick it from the list. Raw Print checks what the printer supports and chooses paper width and settings for you.

  3. Print the test

    A test receipt comes out. If something looks off, answer one plain question and Raw Print fixes the right setting.

Print from your web POS or billing app

Raw Print runs as a background print service. Web pages send jobs with a link, Android apps with an intent, and most POS systems that already print through a background print utility keep working without code changes.

Privacy

Your receipts stay on your phone

  • No account, no sign-up, no ads. Open the app and print.
  • We never see what you print. Receipts and customer details are never sent to us.
  • History stays local. Print history is kept on the device, left out of cloud backups, and you can clear it any time.
  • You're in control. Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics help us fix problems. Turn them off in Settings any time. Read the privacy policy.

Questions people ask

Which printers work with Raw Print?

Most 58 mm and 80 mm thermal receipt printers that use ESC/POS commands, which covers the majority of portable and countertop receipt printers. They can connect over Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy or a USB OTG cable.

Is it really free?

Yes. There are no ads, no subscription and no watermarks on your receipts.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Printing over Bluetooth or USB works offline. Raw Print goes online to print a web link you ask for, and to send anonymous crash reports and usage statistics when a connection is available (you can turn these off in Settings).

Will it work with my web POS or billing app?

Usually, yes. Raw Print accepts print jobs from web pages through links, from Android apps through intents and the share menu, and from any app with Android's Print menu. Most POS systems that already print through a background print utility work without code changes. If yours doesn't, email us with the name of your POS.

Can it print Arabic, Urdu, Hindi or Chinese?

Yes. When the printer can't show a script itself, Raw Print prints that text as a picture using your phone's fonts, so letters join correctly and right-to-left order is kept.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not at the moment. Raw Print is for Android phones and tablets running Android 7.0 or later.

The test receipt came out wrong. What now?

Answer the "Did it print correctly?" question in the app and Raw Print changes the matching setting. If it still isn't right, see the support page or email us.
